1.
I'm oversexed and under pressure I'm gettin homesick from a letter heard couches callin out my name found out the west was just as lame so give me a drink that I can afford I've seen enough of the sunshine and now I'm bored And I don't wanna go home cause I ain't got no home but I don't wanna stay there or go anywhere It's best to keep your eyes in the backs of your heads because the wolves are all around and they will have us in our beds Gimme the east, the west, the north the middle west, the south, and more give me American despair gimme gimme a reason I should care I once knew a girl who called me "baby" used to say my mind would drive her crazy now I sleep in a cold room second-handed my life's my cell my gut's been branded I could have stopped the way I felt I could have saved myself, it's true I could have saved your life as well I could have stayed away from you it's always the last place that you look that you will find the life you've lost the life you'll risk at any cost
2.
The Coming 02:26
There's somethin bad about this city and this time it's not just me it's closing in, it's a box too small and I ain't got no room to breathe but I think I've got it figured out I can't relate to the same old shouts there's nothing up about always being down I've been learning a brand new song I've been itching for it all along my dead shoes got a few steps still they're makin way for a dangerous will it's my life, it's gonna be my own I'm gonna make my visions known there's nothing right about always being wrong And I don't care what the masses say I'm gonna see it my own way you're gonna greet a brand new day when I'm through You can't sing along to empty words unless you've got an empty head so I'm carving a new path it's based on all you never said the coming evolution shall absolve us of our crimes and new earth shall come to fall upon the ashes of our times If there's no future to be found I'll make a present all my own if my existence has no meaning then reinvented I'll be known
3.
I'd like to hate-fuck the hole in my heart been so long down low you'd think loss was my art I share a bed with a ghost unoccupied and I think too much but I've got things to do like drinking and such they're saying "Hey Joe, where you goin...?" you can figure out the rest gone to sink myself with the lead in my chest my poverty's pain that don't come from money my wealth is my hate and of that I've got plenty gimme some lies cause I've got both your secrets But truth is the crown of the common man and I'll die in the ground with my crown in my hand yes I'll die in the ground of the common man's land with my truth in my heart and the fist of my hand
4.
No stimulation in the city too much frustration, its a pity I can see through city eyes I can see our city's lies I can see through city eyes Cause I feel it bad and I know you've felt it too we gotta get out, yeah we're through livin all black and blue a four year failure set us back a lifetime Let's learn humility let's see futility could find myself in someplace else could see myself in someone else Could stagnance save a soul or burn a bridge to sink its ships? Could violence fill a hole or cut a life short at the hips? Let's get some drugs cause I got money and some problems let's learn the truth I missed my youth and can't afford to keep on payin you want the truth? My life's my inside joke and no one ever gets it
